I imported a large word document. after successful import, the object text got indentation in each line.

How to delete all the indentations.

Is there any way to start the object text all the way from left.(left justification).

Well if you got richText formatting this is not going to be easy. First you need to find out, what causes the indentation. This is probably a \li and \fi tags in your richText. For this create a DXL layout column with the following code:

display (richText obj."Object Text")

Then you need to find the reason for the indentation, i.e. the \li360 or \li720 tags. You can then either write some code that will replace the \li... tags by an empty string (i.e. delete them), or b) copy the richText to an attribute, do a manual replace here using the GUI and write the richText back to Object Text. Code to replace a string in a another string is available in the forum, however you should make sure that the text of the module does not contain a literal \li360 somewhere (which in the richText would be \\li360 and therefore lead the replacement errors).

Maybe that helps, regards, Mathias

I find it is far easier to have the discipline to pre-format the ms-word document to a DOORS friendly standard before importing.
